My Favorite Peanut Sauce

This peanut sauce is a staple in my cooking! I eat half of it while I’m cooking and the other half as a part of the meal. It’s so delicious, anyone who has ever tasted it is instantly hooked. I’ve used this sauce on top of tofu, tempeh or chicken. It’s also great just to dip veggies in.

Try this sauce on my peanut butter tempeh recipe!

Ingredients: Yields 1 cup

-1 tsp olive oil

-1 shallot or small onion

-3 cloves garlic minced

-½ cup coconut milk

-2 tbsp chili paste

-½ cup natural peanut butter

-1 tbsp soy sauce

-1 tsp turmeric

-½ tsp sesame oil

- pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add the oil to a saucepan over medium heat. Add in the shallot and garlic until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Add in coconut milk, turmeric and chili paste, bring to a boil.

  2. Turn down the heat to low and add in the peanut butter, sesame oil, soy sauce and black pepper.

  3. If you would like it thinner, add in more coconut milk.

  4. Enjoy on everything!
